Meal photos

One photo of the plate, with an optional note for what the camera cannot see, such as a sauce or a filling. Each detected item comes with a portion, calories and macros.

Restaurant receipts

A fast-food or restaurant receipt is read line by line and menus are split into their parts. Estimates draw on the restaurant's published nutrition data when it is available.

Reviewed before logging

Items can be unchecked, replaced or edited, and portions adjusted, before anything is added to the day.

Photos are not kept

The photo is sent to the AI provider for the analysis and is not stored by Stacks. The structured result is kept for 7 days, so an unfinished scan can be resumed.

Free

3 scans per rolling 7 days, photos and receipts combined. A slot comes back 7 days after the scan that used it.

With Stacks Pro

Unlimited photo and receipt scans.

Questions

How accurate is a photo estimate?
It estimates what is visible, so cooking oil, sauces or fillings can be missed. Each item is shown so it can be corrected, and a note added before the scan improves the result.
Which AI analyses the photo?
Google's Gemini API. A one-time consent is asked before the first scan, and the privacy policy describes what is sent.
How many scans are free?
3 per rolling 7 days, photos and receipts combined. A failed analysis does not count. Stacks Pro has no limit.
